Christmas Break - Ice Hotel

Arrive at Kiruna direct and transfer to Jukkasjarvi. Check in at the ICEHOTEL for 4 nights (1 night in a standard Snow Room, 3 nights in a warm room) and get kitted out in your thermal clothing, on loan for the duration of your stay. Then take a guided tour.

Enjoy a buffet breakfast in the ICEHOTEL restaurant then the day is free to explore your scenic surrounds or one of the many available optional excursions. There are also a number of other activities in and around the ICEHOTEL to help fill your day, these may be booked locally. Late afternoon is the time for Santa to visit and hand out presents to all the excited faces (children only!)

Be as active or relaxed as you wish today – don’t forget, it is advisable to book many of the optional excursions in advance, or at least soon after you check in to ensure availability. In the evening there is a torchlight procession down to the picturesque little church at the end of the village. Here you’ll listen to a very Christmassy carol concert and although it will be mainly in Swedish, you may recognise some of the hymn tunes.

Time to enjoy optional activities or just take in the beautiful surroundings. Perhaps soak in the sauna after something more active.

After breakfast enjoy a morning at leisure to take a few more treasured photos or perhaps try out your luck with ice fishing. Transfer to the airport at Kiruna and then fly back to the UK.
